Committed to ambitious expansion plans, Panasonic is to start production of air conditioning units in Europe.
The Japanese manufacturer, which recently purchased UK distributor AMP, claims to be the No1 residential air conditioning manufacturer in Asia/Pacific and Japan, and has plans to increase sales in Europe by 60% between 2016 and 2018.
Japanese financial newspaper The Nikkei has claimed that Panasonic is considering establishing a production line at one of its existing television factories in the Czech Republic – its first air conditioning base in Europe.
