Close control of temperature and humidity and the high levels of cleanliness necessary in such situations require specialist knowledge. Knowledge that Macair fmi has developed and applied during projects for city trading floors, business-critical server rooms, and thin-film development process labs amongst others.

Equipment from manufacturers including Airedale, Trane and Leibert is used in this type of installation, allowing an appropriate cooling medium – either direct expansion refrigeration or glycol chilled water – to be specified. And where the shutdown of a computer room for the replacement of existing plant is impossible we can provide temporary cooling measures to allow continued operation.

In business-critical situations, we consider disaster recovery or duty/standby strategies as part of the project requirements. And post-installation, Macair fmi can provide remote status and alarm monitoring of the system as required. Clients are thus informed if temperature or humidity control parameters are breached and moisture alarms can be specified to notify of leaks at ground level.
In addition the system can be linked to a Building Management System to allow interrogation from a central control point.
